I recently listened to a podcast by David Bayer where he summarized his interpretation of the classic best seller, The Game of Life and how to play it, written over 100 years ago, Florence Scovel Shinn.

Her message is simple and transformative - we receive back what we put into the world through our actions, words, energy and attitudes.

At a time of global trauma like no other, the book explains that life is not a battle against the world, but rather a game of giving and receiving.

David Bayer talks about 5 distinctions in his podcast.

Distinction #1

Life is a game governed by Spiritual Law.

Life is not a battle, it is a game.

In a battle you win with strength, but in a game you win by understanding, learning the rules!

The Laws are Spiritual. People suffer if you violate spiritual law. Circumstances change the minute you let go and Internal correction leads to External Change.

Distinction #2

Your word is your WAND.

Your words are crystallizations of your thoughts. If your thoughts are vibrational, words are the amplification of your thoughts which become a Powerful Force.

Your words are never neutral and your words reveal your beliefs & thought process and then they re-inforce themselves into reality. They have the ability to be destructive OR constructive.

“The miracle that someone is often looking for often begins when someone changes the way they SPEAK.” The word becomes the outward evidence that an inward shift has already begun.

Don’t complain because your consciousness becomes your reality.

Your words are the gateway between the inner & the outer world.

Distinction #3

Non-Resistance is the Key to CREATION.

We have heard this before, what you resist persists.

“Emotional resistance binds consciousness to unwanted conditions.”

Fear keeps fear alive, but letting GO or surrendering makes space for a higher order to make a resolution to the problem itself.

The external breakthrough always follows the internal surrender.

Letting go is NOT giving up!

Distinction #4

Imagination precedes Manifestation.

The unseen precedes the seen.

100% the vision must be first – hold the vision despite your current situation and live as if you already have it, feel it, breathe it. Act as if you already have what you are hoping for.

For example,  A woman whose husband left her, set the table for 2 every night as if he was there for 2 years and then one day he showed up & they got back together again.

Tie imagination & faith together, BELIEVE.

Faith holds the “vision” steady.

Stay loyal to your decision & it must materialize into reality.

Imagination comes first — manifestation follows.

Distinction #5

Faith is not religious. It is ACCEPTANCE.

Unconditional acceptance. Faith is acceptance. Faith is what you believe.

Have a desire, you begin accepting, you start acting & embodying → voila.

You cannot just wish for something, you must do all of the work as if you expect it to happen. This is important. This is TRUE FAITH.

Dig the ditches and the storm will bring rain.

The law is dig the ditches first & expect the water.

What are your thoughts on these 5 distinctions? Do you BELIEVE?
